Altiall Wins Project for Automated Customs Clearance Facility at Incheon Airport Logistics Center

Altiall Inc. has recently secured the project to build automated customs clearance facilities at the Incheon Airport Logistics Center. This initiative aims to significantly enhance the efficiency and accuracy of express cargo logistics through advanced automation systems. In collaboration with global logistics automation leader Vanderlande, Altiall will deliver optimized automation solutions tailored to the site.

Key Systems to Be Implemented:

• Cross Belt Sorter (CBS)
  By applying Vanderlande’s high-performance Cross Belt Sorter, the system will be able to handle more than 8,000 express parcels per hour, quickly and reliably sorting items of varying sizes and shapes.

• 5-Sided Scanning Image Processing System (IPS)
  A scanning system that captures images from the top, front, back, left, and right of each parcel, enabling accurate data-based directional sorting. This minimizes errors during customs clearance and ensures reliable logistics processing.

• ORCA WCS (Integrated Control Platform)
  Altiall’s proprietary WCS platform, ORCA, will serve as the integrated control system, seamlessly connecting and orchestrating all automation equipment to achieve optimized logistics flows and maximize operational efficiency.

This project is expected to lay an important foundation for advancing the automation of express cargo processes at Incheon Airport, strengthening Hyundai Glovis’s global competitiveness in the express logistics sector.

Note: A “customs clearance facility” enables express delivery companies to directly handle inspection, sorting, and customs procedures, substantially reducing clearance time and enhancing operational efficiency.
